Dr. Liu received his BEng and PhD degrees from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, The University of Hong Kong in 1993 and 1999, respectively. Afterward, he joined the National Center for Atmospheric Research, USA as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to further his research profession. He taught at the Department of Building and Real Estates, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2006 to 2007 before he joined The University of Hong Kong. His research interests are air pollution physics and chemistry, geophysical turbulence and scientific computing.
