Prodasineura autumnails (Black threadtail)

Habitat: larvae associated with submerged vegetation in slow flowing streams

General appearance: body medium sized, up to about 15mm long; head pentagonal with spines along posteroventral margin; markings on antennae - conspicuous darken ring on tip of 2nd antennal segment; legs slender with alternate pale & dark markings; three caudal gills thick, blade-like with pale blots along margin and stout spines as well as long fine hairs around the tip
