Trithemis aurora (Crimson dropwing)
Habitat: larvae associated with dense vegetation in streams, ponds and marshes
General appearance: body relatively medium sized, up to about 16mm long; head pentagonal with large reddish brown markings behind eyes; legs long, slender with dark markings; wing sheath with distinctive reddish markings up to abdominal segment VI; abdomen ovate shaped with cloud-like markings; dorsal spines on abdominal segments III - IX and lateral spines on abdominal segements VIII - IX
