Tramea virginia (Saddlebag glider)
Habitat: larvae associated with dense vegetation in ponds
General appearance: body large sized, up to about 25mm long; head and labium form triangular shaped, eyes protruding laterally; legs with dense setae on tibiae of fore- and middle legs; abdomen oval shaped with distinctive elongated lateral spines on abdominal segments VIII - IX, but without dorsal spine; anal pyramid long and spine-like, but superior epiproct only half length of inferior paraprocts (cf. epiproct as long as its paraprocts in Pantala sp.)
