General appearance: body medium sized, <20mm long, covered with hairs; head rectangular with bean-like eyes, labium mask-shaped with 5 palpal setae; legs without marking; wing pads extending to abdominal segment VI; dorsal spines on abdominal segments IV - VII and lateral spines on abdominal segments VIII - IX
