General appearance: body relatively medium sized, up to about 15mm long; head rounded with three pale spots between eyes; labium flat, subrectangular with domb-shaped lingua; no setae on prementum, row of spines along lateral margin of prementum; three large sac-like caudal gills with long and pointed end; seven pairs of filamentous lateral abdominal gills
