Habitat: Wetland

General appearance: Medium size; 9 - 11 mm. Large black markings on elytra and pronotum, not dotted as in H. rhantoides. Posterior margins of first four segments of hind tarsi transversely wiht a coare fringe of flat, adpressed, golden-yellow setae.
