Habitat | Found in broad-leaf woodlands and mountain grassland. |
Behaviour | Nocturnal. Secretive, slow-moving, docile. |
Diet | Earthworms and slugs. |
Reproduction | One female laid 7 eggs in June |
Distribution | Not rare in Hong Kong, but distribution localized. Recorded in central New Territories, Hong Kong Island and Lantau Island. Occurs in central and southern China, nortern Vietnam. |
