anatomically modern humans should appear in Africa earlier than
elsewhere;
fossils with transitional anatomy between archaic and modern
will only be found in Africa;
there will be no continuity of anatomical features from archaic
to moderns anywhere outside of Africa (racial differences will have
occurred in the last 100,000 years).
The Multiregional model predicts:
anatomically modern humans from similar periods will be found
throughout the Old World;
fossils with transitional anatomy between archaic and modern
will be found all over the Old World;
in each region of the Old World there will be anatomical continuity
from archaic to modern populations (racial differentiation occurring
early).
