Our suggestion:
You may purchase an Octopus card from any MTR station, in which you can add value and use it to pay for multiple modes of transport including MTR, airport express, light rail, buses, ferries, convenience stores (7-eleven/circle-K), etc. It is also widely accepted by public vending machines and restaurants.
TRANSPORTATION
Airport Express and MTR – about 1h
Take the Airport Express Train from Airport to the Hong Kong Station (in Central). Transit to Central Station and take the Island Line (Blue Line) to the University of Hong Kong (HKU Station) or the closest exit to your hotel.

Taxis - about 40 min to HKU
Airport Bus – less than 1 hr to Hotels
Take the bus Cityflyer A10 or A12 from the airport to the Courtyard by Marriott Hong Kong and Best Western Plus Hotel Hong Kong; A10 to Hotel Jen and Island Pacific Hotel.
Internet connectivity
Find the wireless of your Mobile / Laptop, choose the SSID “Wi-Fi.HK via HKU” and connect.
Open a web browser and you will be prompted to the Wi-Fi.HK via HKU Welcome page. Please read the Conditions of Use and Disclaimers carefully and press Accept and Continue button to start using the Wi-Fi service

The registration fee does not include insurance of any kind. The organisers cannot accept any responsibility or liability for injuries or losses sustained as a result of any cancellations, accidents, illness or other occurrences that may arise in connection with the conference or its evening events.
